What really freaked us out was they gave our old room to another family without fixing it. Once something like this happens one can't help but notice other turn offs like Dogs running up and down the worn carpeted hallways, broken concrete on the rear building steps, etc. A few days later ' Adam ' took care of night one after listening to our gripes. They claimed the managers come in late and leave early. No attempt was made to comp us for that miserable night. One does not spend thousands flying to Lake Tahoe renting a car, and reserving a room to spend it waiting in front of the reservation desk. No one responded until after 11 am the next day so we missed our first morning plans waiting.
Upon our immediate complaint they sent out a plumber who after 2 hours ( after 9pm ) of hammering and banging on the faucet finally decided he could not fix it and would tell the management to change our room. First off the toilet would not flush and there was no cold water so unless you want to be burnt you could not take a shower. Its as far away from the casino, restaurants, bars, as one could get. We paid in advance for a week and on day 1, they put us in the oldest tower, ground floor room 269.
